Webhook delivery platform

Design brief · TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL

Asynchronous webhook delivery with persistent history and controlled retries. PostgreSQL stores event state. Workers handle outbound requests, retries, and endpoint isolation.

Technical focus

Application architecture. Service boundaries, API contracts, authentication, and integration testing.

Data & concurrency. PostgreSQL, transactions, indexing, and consistency under concurrent access.

Production systems. Asynchronous processing, infrastructure, observability, and failure recovery.

Approach

I define data ownership, service boundaries, and failure recovery before committing to an architecture. Performance decisions follow profiling and query plans. Changes need a clear test strategy and a practical rollback path.
